Congratulations to Katie Whitton from Norwich University of the Arts.
Tigerprint partners with New Designers each year to offer an award to a rising star for their design talent. This year the judging panel, made up of the Creative Director, Studio Managers and the Arts Development Manager, spent several hours walking around show before debating their winner in the judges chambers before coming to a decision.
After some time, they announced Katie Whitton from Norwich University of the Arts as their award winner. Katie has been awarded with a £500 cash prize and a 6 month paid placement across our Bradford and London Studios.
The judges comments: “A contrast of scale and detail, Katie’s work expresses a true gift and shows confidence on combining marks, gestures and colour. She will be a great addition to our studios”
Katie's comments: “I am really pleased to have won this award, there is so much brilliant work here. Tigerprint is a company I have admired for a while so I can’t wait for my time in the studios.”
Katie spent some time with us on our stand at New Designers and we are looking forward to seeing her later in the year.
