The Tigerprint stand (S2) is hosting a series of workshops during part 1 and part 2 at New Designers.
Today's workshop is Pretty Paper Plates, hosted by 2 of our London studio designers, Jenny and Katherine.
The Tigerprint team will be handing out tickets to graduates throughout the show. If you are lucky enough to get one, come down to stand S2 and we'll get you booked in.

On the 21st September 2013 it is International Peace Day. ‘The Fallen’ is an event which will take place on the D-Day landing beach of Arromanches in northern France that illustrates what happens with the absence of peace. It was on the 6th June 1944 that a total of 9,000 civilians, German forces and Allies lost their lives.
The team behind The Fallen have set themselves and their volunteers the challenge to represent those lives lost between the times of the tide with a stark visual representation using stencilled sand drawings of people on the beach. Each silhouette represents a life and when it is washed away its loss. There is no distinction between nationalities, they will only be known as ‘The Fallen’.
The Fallen is supported by Peace One Day. Peace One Day campaign for global peace and established International Peace day as a day of truce where people on a global and community level try and make peace with each other. As a result since 2007 4.5 million children were immunised against polio as all conflicting parties agreed a day of truce. The Fallen project is a sobering reminder of what happens when peace is not present.

On the day the team behind The Fallen need between 200 and 900 volunteers. The Fallen will bring together people from all nationalities, backgrounds and ages. Making a piece of art in harmony as a reflection of a peaceful world in which we would like to live. Each individual will work in a team to make a person using a stencil and by raking the sand. ...a trip to Leytonstone Library for the exhibition of The Paper Architect?
The Paper Architect is an intimate performance piece about a lonely man, longing to have a life he has never lived, who builds models which become vessels for his dreams and melancholy. A combination of video projection and paper craft and created by Davy & Kristin McGuire, The Paper Architect brings life to the wistful desires of a lonely man. You can visit from 3rd-21st July on the corner of Leytonstone Library in east London. It is part of the Beyond Barbican season - an exciting programme of events taking place outside the walls of the famous arts centre that includes pop-ups, commissions and collaborations across east London.
Taking place at both the Sion Hill and Dartmouth Avenue studios from the 8th-16th June
2013, the Bath School of Art and Design graduate show will include works from graduating students, encompassing painting,
sculpture, ceramics, textiles, illustration, design, photography,
graphics and digital media.
The show is a result of a long period of intense study and is a statement of the skills, insights and ideas that
each graduating student will take with them in the next stages of their
careers.
"The air in Leeds Gallery will be filled with the sweet aroma of ink for the opening night celebration on Friday the 18th of January, be the first to see this year's Print Exhibition and try your hand at printing too. On Saturday the 19th come and visit the Print Fair and marvel at the talents of print makers from the region, so very talented they are indeed. So, it is fortunately you can buy their work and take it home with you. And, drumroll, then, high hat, Sunday the 20th marks the day of the Print Talks".
The Print Exhibition will run for the duration of Leeds Print Festival 2013 from Friday the 18th to Sunday 27th of January.
