Laura Slater creates bespoke pattern, textile surfaces and interior product printed by hand.
Informed by the interaction of colour and shape, Laura's designs focuses on the translation of drawing and surface through hand printed processes. Laura's interest lies in the engagement with pattern and it’s ability to connect people to the environments around them. She explores this by her approach to drawing, process, materials and product. Laura aims to create arresting and directional printed objects for everyday use within the home.
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2007, Laura run her busy studio and print workshop in West Yorkshire.
Laura has exhibited at Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair, Origin, British Craft Trade Fair, Clerkenwell Design Week, London Design Festival.
Her clients and collaborators included; Heals, The Hepworth Wakefield, Harvey Nichols, Johnston Tiles, Material Lab, Area Rugs.
