Competition Spotlight: Lizzie Hobbs

Lizzie was chosen as a runner up in the Black and White Pattern competition, 2014. Tigerprint asked Lizzie to share more of her work with us to showcase in the Competition Spotlight. 

Lizzie Hobbs, originally from Derbyshire, is a London-based artist who draws freehand patterns inspired by India and the Middle East. Her work reflects these cultures by featuring elements from their architecture, landscapes, and textiles.

Enriched by her travels and South Asian Studies degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies, Lizzie's surface pattern designs are versatile, and can be applied to clothing, interior fabrics and walls. Lizzie works to commission and creates pieces that are decorative as well as personalised.
