Jesse Henley-Price is an Irish Illustrator based in London who graduated with a degree of design in 2000. Jesse had a career in digital design for nearly thirteen years until she decided to move into illustration full time last year. She has written and illustrated a couple of children's books and is currently designing a range of greeting cards and posters to sell online.
Jesse's inspiration comes from all walks of life but especially 'people watching' for different emotions and gestures that she tries to capture in her work. She is also the mother of two young girls and regularly brings them to different museums and art galleries like the Tate in London.
"The ability to capture humour and authentic emotions in as simple a drawing as possible is very important to me. I like to use ink, pencil and watercolours mixed with different textures like old paper. I continually think up new and interesting characters that feature on everything from a card to a picture book. My characters keep me company while I'm working!"
