In honour of national Smile Month, we’ve been asking Tigerprinters what makes them happy! And it turns out that a lot of things do- from carbs and cats to dancing, singing and feeding the birds!
What makes you happy? We want to hear all about the little (and big!) things that make you smile.
This month we are taking a break from pattern design and asking you to focus on Photographic Blanks. We've already had lots of great entries but you have until Monday 3rd June to get snapping away and enter. Check out the full brief and the latest entries over here.
Taking place at the Swansea Grand Theatre from the 28th-31st May 2012, the Surface Pattern Design Show brings together thirty four final-year students to create an exciting and diverse exhibition, divided into three disciplines: Contemporary Applied Arts Practice, Textiles for Fashion and Textiles for Interiors.
Materials used include acrylic, metal, wire, glass, porcelain, paper, wood, leather and an impressive range of natural and synthetic fabrics.
The work on show is ambitious, with a wide range of outcomes from drawing and painting to ceramics, photography and printmaking.
The title of the exhibition is ‘Spectrum’, suggesting colour, diversity, breadth and variety.
The De Montfort Art and Design Degree Show celebrates the talent and innovative work of the final year art and design students. The exhibition showcases exciting creations by the next generation of artists and designers across all of the art and design courses and attracts over 4000 visitors including potential employers.

Textiles for Fashion and Interiors Degree Show at Cardiff Metropolitan University - 1st - 14th June 2013.
A showcase of the best work from final year textile makers and designers. The course encourages learning across print, stitch and mixed media, combining hand and machine processes. The show will reflect student's specialities across this varied spectrum.
Across the class the degree obtain designs from floral to geometric, traditional to contemporary, something to attract each market of the textile industry, including greetings cards.
The University of Huddersfield Textile Degree show is fast approaching and with a very exciting programme of workshops that you can get involved with.
