Running for Crayons is the creation of Tilly a fantastic illustrator and character designer.

Tilly's website is jam packed full of her wonderful creations and her blog keeps you up to date on the latest projects she is working on.

She graduated in 2006 from Brighton University with an MA in Sequential illustration. Since graduating she has drawn constantly in her studio by the sea and has worked on a varied range of commissions from editorial, publishing and advertising.

Tilly recently completed a T-Shirt design for Threadless which you can check out and vote for it here.

Abby Wright is a third year illustration student whose love of line, texture and colour is expressed through the body of her work.

"I have a passion for fashion and portrait illustration. I also enjoy using print making in my work.

Due to my love of fashion illustration, I have produced many pieces of work for Amelia's Magazine. As well as this, I worked for Cellar door Magazine and Nothing Bad Magazine. I like to work on various live illustration projects".

Emma Block is an illustrator who likes drawing, museums, coffee, printmaking and wearing slippers in uni.

Emma has worked for clients including Time Out, Woodmansterne, American Greetings, Hardie Garnt, Moo, Amelia’s Magazine, Cellar Door Magazine, and Ballad Of Magazine.

Her work has been exhibited in the 2010 Mail Me Art show and the 2010 I-Spy Edgware Road show. She has been featured on websites including Decor8, Creative Boom, Creature Comforts and Pika Land, and was shortlisted for the Company Magazine Fashion Illustration competition.
She is currently working on a number of projects, including designing a range of greetings cards for an American client and illustrating a book on tea and cake.

Chloe Cook

Chloe Cook Chloë is an illustrator and print-maker who specialises in silk screen printing, but has experience in many forms of art including painting and sculpting. She also creates work digitally and using watercolours and ink and enjoys provoking other people to express themselves through her work. She produces limited edition artist books, prints, and other hand crafted items to sell at book fairs around the country and in local shops, but has also done larger projects which she finds exciting too. She hopes to expand into teaching as an artist tutor, and has recently gained a job on a Student Academic Partnership at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design as a Screen Print Manager facilitating a weekly Print Club.

Chloe's illustrative style is fun, quirky and bright and she keeps her blog up to date with the latest projects she is working on. Above is one of my favourites which is a series of posters based on a magic show - love it!

Vicki Gausden is a freelance illustrator based in Edinburgh whose previous clients include Random House, BEAM Education and the National Trust.

Vicki enjoys writing and illustrating children's books and has a passion for cupcakes, pretty patterns and handmade objects. Working from her studio with  little dog Roo and siamese cat Bubba for company makes for a delightfully inspiring and creative environment.

Vicki's illustrative style includes fantastic characters such as Ettie above and the most amazing hand lettering which is so wonderful to see.

Samantha Eynon is a freelance artist, illustrator and workshop facilitator based in the Midlands.

Samantha also works under the moniker 'littlegamgee' and uses this name when illustrating and creating her motley crew of characters.

Samantha's style is wonderfully fun and fresh and the work on her website evokes such a great sense of fun.

Kerri-Ann Hulme is an illustrator based in Cheshire whose illustrations depict the quirky aspects of life. Her website and blog let you peek into her illustrative musings.

"I would describe my work as whimsical, reflecting on childhood themes. I have a passion for children's books and I am currently working on my own story and illustrations. I tend to experiment with various forms of media when creating my illustrations, although I do prefer the simplicity of line drawings".

Last night The Greats Gift Retailer Awards 2011 were held at the swanky Lancaster Hotel in London.

M&S were finalists for "Best Supermarket and or High Street Retailer of Gifts" category and as you've probably guessed we won!

A nice start to the weekend for everyone!

The world's biggest coffee shop chain and the woman who Forbes magazine on Wednesday named the world's most powerful celebrity, will announce that they are joining for a PR lovefest that will make Lady Gaga an over-the-top digital and promotional presence in Starbucks U.S. stores through June 3.

For Starbucks (SBUX), it's about trying to stay totally tuned in to the interests of its young but hard-to-reach demographic. For Lady Gaga, it's about reams of carefully orchestrated publicity in the one place where gobs of her fans likely hang out.

Lady Gaga has 32 million Facebook fans and 10 million Twitter followers, and earned about $90 million over the past year, Forbes estimates. Gaga also announced last week a PR link-up with FarmVille, the social network game.
