Online Humour Card- Winning Entry

Winning entry by Cows In Cars

It was really great to see the variety of responses to the Online Humour Card competition. It was interesting to see that people entered both caption responses to the photos and also illustrated concepts of their own.

The judges selected the entry above by Cows In Cars as the winner as they really liked the style and the format and they felt that this illustration style would offer something different to our range. They thought that the story board style would work really well as a small range.

We thought that the caption on this was funny and there is potential for it to be developed into a mini range of similar ideas.

Black Dots, Cotton Dashes

Black Dots, Cotton Dashes is the blog of illustration graduate Siobhan Maguire and it covers a variety of styles of illustration and even some animation. Siobhan also works on the independant art magazine "Art and Things". Both sites are worth checking out!

Vicki Fong

I recently received a newsletter from Vicki Fong about what she has been upto and it gave me a chance to have a good look at her site and all the projects she has been involved in. Vicki is a regular contributor to the Tigerprint Competitions.

Vicki's site is stylishly presented and its great to see the variety of projects she works on so be sure to have a look.

One of the projects I was particularly interested in was a website Eating Cake which considering the economic slouch everyone is in is great as it has lots of tips on ways to save money and get great deals.

Online Humour Card Competition

It's really great to see that were getting a mixture of caption responses to our photos and also your own concepts of humour, just what were looking for! There are only a few days left to the deadline which is Thursday 23rd October so get your thinking caps on and give us a giggle!

Most people are probably familar with the T4 idents featuring model figures and food and the company behind these is Manvsmachine. They have also done work for MTV such as the example above but check out their website to see the variety of animation and graphics projects which they take on.

E-Greeting Competition
