The Everyday Cute Character Competition has been a great success and the judges spent a great deal of time looking through all the fantastic images we received. They selected Rosalind's 'Mo Monkey' as the winner as they felt it was the most commerically suited to Marks & Spencer. The character of Mo is both fun and cute with a wide appeal and could be used across all areas of the Everyday catergory. Rosalind really demonstrated the variety of poses and scenarios that the character could adapt which answered the brief well.
Congratulations Rosalind!
Additionally the judges selected four runners up below:

Emma's illustrations are really fantastic with a great use of colour and each of the designs worked well individually.

A really great illustrative style and cute character used in this design but would be great to see the character in different scenarios for different occasions.
Really lovely character development here with great detail paid to each member of the family. Look at how you could place the characters in different locations/ scenarios to suit different Everyday occasions.

This is such a beautifully illustrated and cute a character but it would be interesting to see different actions and poses to reflect the sense of fun of this character and also the different Everyday events it could be suitable for.
Congratulations to Rosalind and our four runners up and also to everyone who entered the competition, there has been some great and inspiring work. Please continue to work on your character developments and experiment and have fun with the different poses and scenarios they can land themselves in!
Don't forget we have just launched the next competition which is to design Female Floral Wraps- have a great weekend!!
