2008 Winning entry by Liza Lewis
Following on from our first successful competition brief covering the younger area on puzzles we would like you to create a design for a puzzle aimed at 3-6 year olds.
There are a couple of key themes that it would be good to cover –
NUMBERS / COUNTING and THE ENVIRONMENT. Please choose one for the concept of your illustration.
You could also think about the shape of the puzzle itself and how this could reflect your chosen theme.
We have included a couple of images of our current products to show the complexity of design suitable for this age group. We are looking for illustrations that are stylish, modern, yet with a hint of nostalgia. Check out Marks & Spencer for more examples of our product range.
We look forward to seeing all your entries and hope you enjoy working on the brief.
Remember your market research and check trends for children and always consider the Marks & Spencer customer.
Deadline for the Childrens Puzzle Illustration Competition is Tuesday 25th August 2009.
The format for entries must be a 500 pixel square jpeg at 72 dpi in RGB. This does not mean your concept has to be a square format but for uploading to the site it must sit within a square.
