Here are just a few of my favourite things!
London based
Betty magazine started online and is now a twice yearly publication, it's short but sweet and has beautiful photography and a home made feel. Articles on illustration, fashion, baking and crafting and printed on lovely paper stock! Mmmm!
Whitstable is where I love to go when London gets too much for me. I'd never been until last year and I love it! This is a guide for the Whitstable Biennale and I love the typography.
Higher Living liquorice teabags – I like the tea and the packaging is pretty.
Tatty Devine anchor necklace. I barely own any jewellery but I love this as it reminds me of the seaside and I do like a nice anchor!
Lizzy Stewart is one of my favourite illustrators, I have several of her prints, cards and zines. This zine is about her recent trip to Iceland. Great illustrations and sketches with little comments and stories. Looking at this inspires me to do more next time I go away somewhere – instead of photographing everything, why not draw? I don't keep a sketchbook and it's something I would like to start.
This Diana camera was found in a charity shop for a couple of pounds. It turns out it doesn't work but I love the look of it so I'm keeping it anyway! I want to get into more analogue photography, though it's quite a pricey hobby.
You can buy them new here.
Red lipstick because I absolutely love it! This matte shade is my absolute favourite.
Round mirror and scarf bought in
Blackbird in Margate. It's a lovely shop, do pop in if you're ever in Margate. Unfortunately I can't remember the artist's name but I do know she is french. If anyone can tell me who she is they get a special prize!
Balls of wool from
Loop. Very pricey but gorgeous wool shop in Islington. I got vouchers for Christmas and have knitted one stripy hand/arm warmer as you can see. Just need to knit the second one now…
