Hello Tigerprinters.
Not so long ago, we refreshed our TP Blog, taking it from the old black banners and button styles to the new bright colourful style you see today. Feedback about the blog has been great, and we would like to thank you all for the lovely comments.
However, our main Tigerprint website needs a re-fresh, to bring it in line with the blog. The only stipulation is that we need to keep black for the Tigerprint logo/text and rings, and incorporate this into the new design as this reflects our corporate branding.
This is where you come in. As this is where you would come to find out what we're all about and how to get in touch, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the website, good and bad, to help us create the new one with you all in mind. Does navigating through the site make sense, is it intuitive enough? Is there anything you'd like to see/be removed? All comments will be read and considered.
We look forward to hearing your views.
Thank you in advance.

Hi All
It has come to our attention that our winning choice for the photography competition did not fully answer the brief that we originally set whereby we asked for a collection of images suitable for blank cards. Whilst the winning entry is suitable for blanks eg With Love, Wedding, Anniversary, Two Of You, Valentine etc. The image was not part of a bigger appropriate collection. We stand by our winning entry and reasons for choice on it's individual merit but hold our hands up and say that we got this wrong with regards to it not being part of a collection.
So in light of our mistake we would like to announce one of our previously chosen runner ups user-name Ivo as a winner too with his collection below.
We hope to do many more photography competitions in the future and hope this has not put any of our participants off from entering. If there are particular subjects that you would like to suggest for future competitions please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate them,
Sorry for any confusion caused.
Kind regards and a humble thank-you

The judges enjoyed the variety of entries received for this competition and there was some beautiful illustration styles. The winning entry as shown above is by Paper Alligator and was selected because of the use of textures and patterns used inside the petals. This created a lovely effect and it would be great to see this as a treatment across a variety of flowers. Well done!
The runners up are:
The detailed drawing style and the bold use of cool really give this design a contemporary feel.
Well done!
This design is visually interesting and the large scale floral and composition work really well.
This stylized drawing style and sophisticated palette work really well as a commercial design. We would need to reformat it to fit 150mm square.
A beautiful drawing style here and the placement of your florals is simply lovely. Well done!
A few considerations drawn from this brief are that typography and sentiment should have more consideration to be part of the design.
Additionally it would of been good to see many more considerate and well executed drawn and painted florals. Perhaps if we get a nice summer it would be good to get out and do lots and lots of drawing from observation and really explore colour palettes.
Thank you to everyone who took the time and effort to enter it is much appreciated and well done and keep up the great work.
P.S Don't forget the current competition is for Photographic blanks which you can check out here and the deadline has been extended until Thursday 28th May 2009.
Here at Tigerprint we are committed to improving the site and helping you get the most out of it. We have just introduced a new feedback method which makes it even easier for you to leave us comments and suggestions. To the left hand side, about half way down you will notice a red feedback tab and it is simple as clicking this and following the on screen instructions. All feedback is greatly appreciated.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we will be unable to announce a winner for the Male Typography Competition before the Easter holidays. We sincerely apologise for the delay and thank you all for your patience and co-operation.
May we take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and wish you all a very Happy Easter!
Over the next few weeks we will be regularly putting up surveys so that we can find out what you like and don't like about the site and what we can do to make it better. We would be most grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill out the first survey, a nice and easy one about who you like to design for.
Also please feel free to leave any comments on the site or alternatively you may email Vic and vlem2@hallmark-uk.com.
Many thanks!
This competition saw a record number of entries and consequently the judges had a tough time selecting an overall winner. The top selection were all very close but the final winner, Helen, was selected because her very quirky type and use of caption that we simply loved. The use of mixed fonts and illustrations worked really well and the overall design is very commercial.
There have been some lovely ideas and different types displayed in the entries, thank you and well done to everyone.
The runners up are:
The placement of type on this card and the composition was very nice. Using the handwritten element of 'I' and 'you' worked really well with the bold 'love' type.
Using the heart motif to spell out 'I love you' is a very clever idea which we really liked yet it retains a great simplicity that does not affect the design.
The caption and placement of the characters on the type is a really cute design. We particularly liked the characters rosy cheeks which are very sweet.
We thought the treatment of this photo was really nice and the dark background really compliments it. The hearts floating around the caption work really nicely.
Congratulations to Helen and all our runners up. A huge thank you to everyone who entered and don't forget to check out the latest competition Contemporary Mother's Day.
P.S Hope you all have a lovely Valentines Day! xx
