Female floral wrap winning entry by Smace1
We were really pleased with the quality and variety of entries we received for the female floral wrap competition but it made the judges decision even harder!
The winner with the design above is by Smace1 and was selected because of the lovely use of colour and the different style of graphic floral and the simple and effective co-ordinate. The judges really felt that this design could be used immediately to satisfy the Marks and Spencer customer.
Well done Smace1!
Additonally the judges selected four runners up below:
This design uses lovely fresh pretty colours perfectly. There is a good use of scale and the mixture of floral graphics which keeps it simple yet effective. It would look pretty on a pearl paper with some flitter/foils, really lovely thank you Pepperpot.
Great and lovely colours. The flower is very on trend and we would use the allium flower buds in a coloured foil for extra impact/luxury. Simple and really effective, thanks and well done.
Gorgeous colour palette which is really on trend. The fantastic repeat for the main print is really different and we would consider putting the leaf and berry outlines in a thin gold coloured foil for a luxury look. Really fab, well done.
A vintage inspired print with on trend colours but we would need to adjust for the Marks & Spencer customer to prettier pinks. Simple but really effective and quirky, thank you Dee.
Overall we were really happy with all the competition entries and had a really tough job selecting the winner and runners up. It was really lovely to see all the different styles. Tips for future floral wraps would be to work on how flowers/icons are put into repeats. Look at interior and fashion prints for inspiration and to see how you can improve your designs. It is often the most simplest that works and is most effective. Have a go at making your floral patterns flow and link up!
Congratulations and a big thank you to everyone who entered!
