      Stina Persson

      23_stinaperssonpaper03_v2_3

Stina Persson is an illustrator based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her corporate clients include the likes of Coca Cola, Absolut Vodka,  Sony Music and DKNY to name but a few, and editorial clients include Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Flaunt, Elle UK and Marie Claire.

Her style was really lovely, feminine and delicate and includes some beautiful papercut work mixed in with watercolour and ink drawings. She also combines her artwork with photography which is really rather nice.

      How are you peeling?

      Cumquatfood

      Penguin_2

These images has been carved from fruit there are more of them here. After a few more links I found that they are actually from a book called "Food for thought" by Joost Elffers and Saxton Freyman.

If you search inside the book "How are you peeling?" you will see some more hilarious images.

They are designed for Kids but I think they have a really universal "a peal" ha ha.

      Carlo Giovani

Elefante Talk about cutting edge; it’s rare to find a graphic designer who goes one step beyond the tablet-and-pen rigamarole, but the Brazilian Carlo Giovani and his team of illustrators and graphic designers gladly pull out the scissors and paper for commissions they receive from clients like Havianas and The New York Times. They tap into their collective creative art and technical skill to design colorful paper cutouts, which then get cut out along the dotted lines, folded along the solid and turned into animals and people that comprise the simple settings they produce (also check out the “Motion” section of their site to see some of the paper works in stop-mo animation), resulting in a wondrous, dynamic — and moreover, eye-catching — advertisement. Papercuts sure beat carpal tunnel. By Josh Spear

      Beautifulness...

      Tamar1

I found these most beautiful things in the world, well, I like them......

US based designer/maker Tamar Mogendorff (try saying that with a mouthful of cake) creates these quirky and unusual 'dolls' linens, wool, cotton, vintage fabrics, tweed, antique embroidery, pashmina and other fabrics...

They've been used in window displays in a boutique in Philedelphia. I thought they were very beautiful and I really want a birdhouse for myself. I don't mind if you buy me one.......

      Nairobi Bus Stop Cartoons

      Quote
This guy has turned his local bus stop into his very own daily cartoon strip! He says "Drawing is my passion. There's no reason I won't continue drawing, because I love drawing. I don't make any money from it, it's just for fun." Good on him.

      Funky Little Darlings

      Picture4

FUNKY LITTLE DARLINGS is a company that specialises in cool wall murals. You let them know your room
dimensions and a theme for your mural, they prepare a full colour design which they send to you for approval. Your mural is printed and trimmed into ‘wallpaper sections’ and dispatched to you with wall adhesive. It is then simply a matter of fixing the mural to the wall and is similar to hanging wallpaper.
Nice idea and some nice designs...
