I decided to use a simplistic illustrative style with type for these pieces - love is a beautifully detailed emotion and I wanted to show this with my designs. Flowers have strong connotations with love and as they are perceived as the ideal gift to give to your loved ones, both men and women, they seemed the perfect subject.
I chose four different descriptions of the word love on my cards. The words are powerful and mean a lot to me so I hope they will ring true to others in love too. I made it so a couple of the designs could also be given to family members or loved ones.
I decided to try a number of different colour combinations, which I am very happy with. The hot pink works well against the more muted colours and I produced a blue and green one for those who may not like pink!
