The Inspiration taken for these prints are the bold bright colours of small insects, looking closely at the patterns on the wings and shells such at lantern flies and beetles to produce line drawings. Ive used procion dyes for backgrounds on numbers 1 and 5 blending the colours then hand drawn beetle repeat pattern with bleach. Number 2,3 and 4have been screen printed and machine embroidery.
