Teenage Years Competition Results

We had a great time this morning judging the Teenage Years photography competition and there was plenty of talk about the posters we all had on our walls as teenagers.
You guys really worked hard on what was quite a tough and challenging competition and we hope you had lots of fun with your photo-shoots.
Our winning image as shown above is by Sofi Lou and the judges were really impressed by the overall collection submitted by Sofi Lou. The styling and colour palette really evokes a sense of great style which we feel would appeal to teenagers. Congratulations Sofi Lou!
This month we selected five runners up who will each receive a copy of the book 'A Year of Mornings' which is one of my favourites.

Both these gorgeous images above are by the very talented Charlotte King. Both images were firm favourites amongst our judges and again they conveyed a nostalgic mood which would appeal to teenagers. Well done Charlotte!
The judges selected this entry by Kelly as it was suitably styled and was a great take on the brief. Well done Kelly!

Teenage Years Photography Competition - Last day!
Today is your last day to shoot a cool image to depict 'Teenage Years'.
You have until midnight (UK time) to submit your entries and be in with a chance of winning £200, a possible placement in our studio and seeing your image feature on a M&S product!

Gift Packaging Competition Winner

We thought we'd try something a bit different with this brief and I am sure lots of you will agree that it was a tough one.
The judging panel were looking for a concept that would enhance that 'special occasion' through the redesign of a gift box or envelope.
We had some really innovative entries for such a tough brief so many thanks to everyone who entered.
The winning entry as shown above is by Paula and the judges felt this delivered an innovative solution. It would also lend itself to other themes well - congratulations Paula.
The judges also selected two runners up who will each receive the book below as their prize.

This morning saw our panel of judges gather to select a winner for our Gift Packaging Competition. Above are the top ten designs selected and we will announce the winner later today.

What is Love - The results

We were over the moon with the response we had to What is Love but it was such a tough call selecting our winner!
As you know the brief was all about love in its many forms and how you could creatively illustrate this for us.
The team who set the brief were looking for new innovative styles to refresh there range.
Our winning entry "Kiss" shown above by Cat really captures the beautiful and tender moment between two people in love.
The judges adored Cat's illustrative style and felt that it would translate well across not only cards but also gift bags, wrap and gifting products.
Beautiful - well done Cat!
Choosing the runners up was also a really tough call as we had so many strong entries in our Top 13 and we think we've found lots of new talent to work with!

Love poodles by Sophy was tough competition for the winners spot and a firm favourite amongst Tigerprinters and Facebook!
A very simple design but using a illustrative technique that we've not really touched. We would love to see this design developed more for product to see how it would translate but overall it's just incredibly sweet!

We saw lots of really great sentiment coming through this month and we loved Rebecca's combined with the sweet illustration.
Beautifully executed - well done Rebecca and a runner up for the last two competitions!
Another great example of strong editorial this time by Holly Blackman. I think most of us can relate to the editorial and the styling is very commercial and appealing to customers.
