The aim of this brief is to design a type based Mother’s Day card.
As well as a main ‘Mum’ caption it would be nice to incorporate a pattern, a floral, an illustrated character or any other Mother’s Day icons. Think of the Marks and Spencer customer, and the person buying the card and the recipient you are designing for.
Your colour palette should be suitable for a female customer but think how you could make it more interesting. Pink always works well but how could you make it different yet still commercial?
Submission Guidelines:
The format for entries is a square design, which must be submitted as a 500 pixel square jpeg at 72 dpi in RGB. However please retain your original file type i.e. Illustrator/Photoshop at a resolution of at least 300 DPI should yours be selected. Please email all entries in this format (max 5 per entrant) together with a brief description of your work and your username (nick name) to Vic at vlem2@hallmark-uk.com
We will endeavour to upload your designs within 24 hours.
All entries are featured in our online Competition Gallery and the winning prize is £200 as well as the possibility of a placement at Tigerprint and your design may even feature in a future range!!!!
Please ensure you read and fully understand the Terms and Conditions of the competition before submitting your entries.

Below are a few examples of cards in our recent Mother’s Day range, but why not do your market research what card do you buy your mum this year?
