Apologies for the delay in announcing the results for the recent Christmas surface pattern and icon design competition but the wait is finally over.
The judges have selected the entry above by RosieM as the overall winner.
This fun and nostalgic design captures a sense of ‘home’ and the spirit of Christmas. It is very commercial and on trend for Christmas 2011 and presents a cute, fun and quirky design.
The runners up are as follows:
Dale’s entry is bright but with a clever use of a classic Christmas colour palette which is complimented by the lovely painterly style. The overall design has a very fun feel about it and fits the criteria of been a very Christmassy and commercial design with a broad appeal.
Great work Dale.
Emily’s design offers a refreshing style for a bauble wrap with the nice introduction of branches to give the design a setting. A lovely nostalgic feel to this design with an interesting colour palette.
This snowflake design is a beautiful and intricate design, which captures the delicate and hand drawn quality. The design is very commercial and on trend for Christmas 2011.
Lizzyh has used a nice technique here to capture a Scandinavian knit effect. The colour palette used is beautiful and there is a nice choice of imagery used.
There were lots of great designs that have clearly taken into consideration the Marks & Spencer customer and the Christmas trends. There are lots of fresh and unique styles covering a wide range of disciplines.
Thank you to everyone that took part and don’t forget to check out our latest competition, Classic Mother’s Day.
Enjoy your weekend!
